However, the gnomes haven't returned and he'll ask you to locate them for him and obtain the coordinates. Give him 6 Logs for the repairs and talk to him again to learn that he sent out three tracker gnomes to obtain the coordinates of the Khazard stronghold which they can then use to fire the nearby ballista, break down the wall and retrieve the orb. Talk to him and he'll ask you to repair the gnome's defences.
Once outside the maze, make your way northwest and find Commander Montai who can be distinguished from the other gnomes by his red armor. Agree to help and you will be led out of the maze by Elkoy. Talk to him and he'll tell you that one of the three orbs that shields the village from the Khazard army to the north has been stolen after they tried hiding it as a last resort and he needs your help retrieving it.
Once you're inside the village, head to the northeast corner where you'll find King Bolren. Use the map below to find your way through the maze and to the village which you can enter by squeezing through the railings. To start this quest you'll first need to reach the Tree Gnome Village which is located in the center of the maze found southwest of East Ardougne.
